Cobweb Designs has been commissioned by Trinity College in Dublin to design a needlework collection to feature the stunning imagery from the Book of Kells.

The colours in the embroideries are reflective of the rich, vibrant and metallic golds used in the manuscripts of these 9th Century Gospels.

The products – a sampler, needlecase, pincushion and bookmark kits – have been selected to create a collection that offers several price points and a variety of projects.

Cobweb has been chosen for its skills in needlework design as well as the company’s excellent marketing facilities. Apart from the obvious needlework outlets, Cobweb has links with hundreds of Celtic import shops throughout the world offering Trinity College a top quality marketing platform.

Current projects on the studio drawing board are for the V&A Museum London, Irish Museums Dublin, Fruitlands Museum USA, Bennington Museum USA, The Royal Shakespeare Company Stratford-upon-Avon and The Natural History Museum London
