Rosemary Eribe's stock is growing in the Land of the Rising Sun (02/04/2009)

'Japanese can't get enough of Rosemary's designs' shouted the headline of a recent article in the Sunday Post on the success in Japan of Exporters Association member Rosemary Eribe of Eribe Knitwear Designs.

Rosemary Eribe and her company Eribe Knitwear Designs was the subject of a recent feature article in the Sunday Post.

The article reviewed Rosemary's life - from working in a fabric shop in Hamburg; a four year design course at the Scottish College of Textiles in Galashiels; a graduate enterprise course at Queen Margaret's College in Edinburgh and Stirling University, and through the various stages of development that has seen Eribe Knitwear Designs become the very succussful business it is today.

Eribe Knitwear Design was launched in 1986 and Rosemary decided to base the business in Galashiels, which positioned the company in the midst of the world reknowned Scottish Borders knitwear industry. Demand for her garments now comes from around the globe with Japan and the United States being significant markets.

Rosemary's success has been recognised with Eribe Knitwear being named the Scottish Small Business Champion of 2008.
