Wester Ross Salmon Ltd. was established in 1977 and are now a fully integrated salmon farming company with all stages of the production process, from egg to fully prepared salmon fillets being undertaken by our staff. We currently employ 65 staff, with a seasonal increase to 85 during the Autumn.

Wester Ross operates 4 freshwater sites and 3 seawater sites on the west coast and a processing unit in Dingwall. Sales and administration activities take place at our Edinburgh office.

Our principal objective is to produce the highest quality Scottish Salmon which meets the requirements of salmon smokers throughout the year.

Current ex[port markets include Japan, Hong Kong, Greece, France, Spain, Holland, Belgium and Germany. The main challenges faced have been market instability due to intense competition, currency fluctuations and transport logistics. We anticipate good potential for our products in niche export markets.
