The company has been in business since 1895 and has remained independent and family-owned throughout its history.  Gordon & MacPhail employ 110 staff, and now export to over 35 countries covering Europe, Northern America, Far East and Australasia. 

In 1993, the company purchased Benromach Distillery in Forres, adding "distiller" to its list of titles.  Over the years international recognition has been bestowed on Gordon & MacPhail with a wide array of awards from international trade organisations. 

Recently the company received a Life Time achievement award from the Royal Highland & Agricultural Society of Scotland, joining an elite group of Scotland’s leading Food and Drink producers.
